Starting February 2, 2026, Titus Corlățean - former Minister of Justice and Minister of Foreign Affairs - joins the team of attorneys at CRÂZNIC & ASSOCIATES as Senior Partner, coordinating the law firm’s international cooperation activities.
Titus Corlățean is a Senator of Romania – President of the Senate's Foreign Policy Committee – and former Minister of Justice and Foreign Affairs.
A graduate of the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest, class of 1994, Titus Corlățean has an impressive career as a jurist, diplomat and university lecturer. He has fulfilled important responsibilities in the European legal and foreign policy field, including that of President of the Special Commission for the Election of Judges to the European Court of Human Rights within the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
For the next two years, 2026-2027, Titus Corlățean will serve as the representative of the Committee of Legal Affairs and Human Rights of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe to the Venice Commission (European Commission for Democracy through Law).
He holds a PhD in Law and is a member of several associations and foundations active in the field of international law. Over the years, he has carried out outstanding academic teaching and scientific activities (see Curriculum Vitae).
In recognition of his distinguished merits, he was awarded the National Order “Star of Romania” in the rank of Knight in 2004 and in 2014 the Order Pro Merito Melitensi in the rank of Grand Cross, the Sovereign Military Order of Malta and the Order of Honour of the Republic of Moldova.
